Hello lovlies! Today's blog post will be a review on the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. Everyone needs a good bronzer in their makeup kit, and I think its hard to find a good universal one which will suit everyone's skin tones. Before purchasing this bronzer, every other bronzer I had used to contour and bronze with, looked orange and just terrible! This bronzer will definitely change the way your contour looks completely! Even if your a beginner, this bronzer will look amazing!
~ It's matte! ~
So the first thing I LOVE about this bronzer is the fact that its a matte. Im sure you will agree that bronzers with shimmer and glitter in them look terrible, and I think that's a mistake a lot of beginners make when choosing a bronzer. Remember, the aim of bronzing and contouring is to create a natural shade around your jaw line, temples and nose, along with giving your jaw line a bit more definition. Using a bronzer with shimmer will only make you look like Edward Cullen, not a bronzed goddess!
~ Colour ~
The second thing I love about this bronzer is the colour as it's the perfect shade! I think a lot of bronzers are way too orange and can make the face look dirty and muddy. This bronzer however is the perfect shade as it doesn't come off too orangey and doesn't look muddy either. I think it does depend on skin tone however as it does look a little orange in some lights on me. In general Benefit got the colour spot on! It's an extremely popular bronzer that many consider their holy grail of bronzers!
~ Blend ability ~
I have used SO many bronzer that just don't blend no matter what brush you use. The benefit hoola however is perfect for blending. I love using a big fluffy powder brush like a L'Oreal perfection brush for bronzing my face, and then using a smaller tapered brush like the real techniques contour brush for defining my jaw. The product is so buildable, so your not straight out putting large amounts of product on your face!
~ Packaging ~
When I purchased my Hoola bronzer they still had the old packaging, but I actually prefer the old packaging to the new. I really like being able to remove the lid of the box as its easier to apply. The size of the packaging is really great too as its quite practical especially for travel, as some of my other bronzers are quite chunky. I love the design of the box, its really cute, as is all of benefits products!
All in all I love this bronzer, its definitely my go to bronzer and I don't think I'll be changing to any other product any time soon!
