MAC lip products, are they worth the cash? Review

When it comes to makeup brands, MAC cosmetics are by far my favourite! I love their packaging, their products and just their whole vibe! However, some of their lip products are a bit of a hit and miss in my opinion. Today I'm going to be looking at one MAC lipstick, one plush glass and one dazzle glass to see if they are really worth the time and money.

~ MAC Satin Lipstick SNOB ~

Many people would know that snob is one of the most beloved MAC lipsticks. Its just something which seems to be on everyone's wish list and generates a lot of hype!

I absolutely love the colour, its a purple toned pink which has a nice satin finish. It has a very creamy formula and a nice consistency which glides on very nicely. A lot of people describe the colour as being very versatile, however I think its a little on the bright side to be versatile for all skin types, I would say its like the little sister of Saint Germaine. I prefer to wear snob on special occasions honestly, as I feel a bit more comfortable wearing something a bit less bright on an everyday basis. I guess it all depends on what colours you like wearing everyday.

I LOVE the packaging as I do with all MAC products, its very simple, a very convenient size and resembles that of a bullet! The smell like all MAC lipsticks is a bit strange, it has a kind of fig/sunscreen smell to it! Its not a great smelling lipstick but I think its quality makes up for that.

All in all I quite like snob, its a pretty colour that's perfect for special occasions! Its a great quality lipstick as with all MAC lipsticks, and has a pretty good lasting power providing you wear a good lip liner. I think its definitely worth the money, and with many Australian drugstore lipsticks being priced up to $30, I think MAC lipsticks are very reasonable seeing as they are high end and you do get a beautifully pigmented and long lasting formula.

RRP - $36.00

~ MAC Plush Glass PRETTY PLUSH ~

My decision to pick up a plush glass was a spare of the moment kind of thing! Im not really a big lip-gloss junkie but I thought the colour range for the plush glasses looked really cute.

The packaging is quite small, it features the iconic MAC matte finished lid, and a transparent tube. Its the perfect handbag or clutched sized product which is really good for a night out or even just a day out shopping!

It features a doe-foot applicator (why even is it called a doe foot!) which makes the gloss easy to apply.

The colour its self is super duper pretty! its a lovely pale pink colour with extremely tiny gold shimmer pigments! On the lips it looks clear.

Once applied, there's a strange tingling feeling on the lips. Im guessing it has some sort of plumping agent in it (I hope!). It does make the lips look somewhat fuller. The product has a sweet fruity scent.

I hate to say it but I don't think that the MAC plush glasses are worth the money. I feel like its not THAT special and there are a lot of really good drugstore lip glosses out there! Its a very nice lip gloss in general but I just wouldn't splash out on it again!

RRP - $39.00

~ MAC Dazzle Glass DATE NIGHT ~

Im not usually impressed by lip-glosses but im actually really impressed with the MAC dazzle glasses!

They are highly pigmented, Date Night, is a gorgeous purple which is absolutely to die for on the lips! With purple and gold shimmer pigments which add an extra dimension to the whole concept of lip glosses! The colour is very long wearing and the sparkles look amazing! You cant really see them from a far but up close the lips look unbelievable!

The formula is a little sticky but in a way that's a good thing because you know its going to last longer!

In regards to packaging its quite a bit larger to the plush glasses, and it has a shine finished lid instead of a matte one. The applicator is a little brush which makes it a hell of a lot easier to shape and define the lips than a doe foot does.

It has a sweet smelling scent which isn't too overpowering but is still quite strong.

Overall, I LOVE the dazzle glasses, they are highly pigmented, long wearing, and look just amazing. Despite the scary price tag, I really recommend the dazzle glasses and think they definitely worth the money.

RRP - $43.00

Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream Review

Hello there lovelies! Today I will be reviewing the Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream!

This review will outline my opinions and thoughts on the Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream. Every product of course works differently for everyone but I hope I provide some useful information about the product that you may find handy!

                                                        ~ Product Claim ~

The Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream ( gosh what a handful!) of course like any product, comes with many claims. The product is universally described as being a 'multi-functional applicator that supplies moisture and nutrients to the daily make-up routine.' With a little research, I found out that a lot of the Korean BB creams tend to be multi-functional products which aim to moisturise, prime, conceal and act as a foundation! Which of course is very different to the more Western BB creams which tend to act as more of a tinted moisturiser.

Triple The Solution also claims, as printed on the box, to 'make your skin as moist as yoghurt and hyaluronic acid supply moisture and nutrition. It is a low-simulating product since it doesn't contain the ingredient of organic ultraviolet screen. The index of SPF 30 and P++ not only controls the generation of skin blemish but makes your skin bright'.

Overall the product is supposed to provide full coverage, anti-shine oil control, whitening and brightening, wrinkle care, SPF 30, and moisture.

                                                         ~ Packaging ~

The product comes in a generous 50ml tube, which features a pink and white checkered design, and pump nozzle.

Personally, I absolutely LOVE the packaging, its attractive, girly, and just so very pretty! I love how the white, pink and gold looks and I think its the most attractive packaged product out of all my makeup collection!

The pump is also an amazing bonus! The product doesn't come out quickly, but I think that's because of how thick the product is. In general you don't need much product at all! A little definitely goes a long way! The only little complaint I have is that you definitely need to clean the nozzle after use, (which I obviously keep forgetting to do!) as the cap tends to dirty very quickly.

~ Colour & Consistency ~

As I bought the product off eBay, I was obviously not able to swatch it, so I was a bit nervous about the colour! Unfortunately it is slightly too dark for me. I think the major downside with this BB cream is the colour range, being that it is only available in one shade ( natural beige ). However, I was very pleased to find that the product was yellow toned! I am nc15 in MAC, and anything pink toned looks way too orange on my skin.

The consistency of the Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream is quite thick, which I actually really really like. It feels very smooth on the skin and very moisturising.  It doesn't look cakey at all, and I find its best applied with your finger tips.

~ Scent ~

Regarding the scent of Triple The Solution, I absolutely love it! It has a lovely subtle fruity-floral smell that smells very fresh! Many foundations and BB creams I've tried have a very strong, unpleasant smell, however I was so pleasantly surprised by the scent of this BB cream! However you cannot really smell it once applied.

 ~ Coverage ~

The coverage of Triple The Solution is medium-full, and very buildable. It applies best with finger tips as I find the consistency is a bit too creamy for most of my brushes to handle! I really like the coverage as it doesn't look over the top or cakey! It doesn't however cover many of my blemishes which is was a bit disappointed with. It does however reduce the appearance of redness and gives a flawless, dewy finish!

~ Its role in my foundation routine ~

The Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream has made its way into my daily foundation routine! After moisturising with the Simple Rich Moisturiser, I then use the Triple The Solution as my primer and foundation base, I then apply the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation ( Fair Ivory) and finish with the MAC Studio Fix Powder ( NW15 ).

The BB cream definitely improves the lasting power of my makeup as it tends to stay on WAY longer and doesn't separate at all, which happened a lot with my previous foundation routine! YAY FOR LIOELE TRIPLE THE SOLUTION!!

I find because of how dewy the BB cream is, I have to use quite a high powered powder like MAC Studio Fix, but its all day coverage makes up for that!

Finally, in regards to it having some sort of blemish control agent, I haven't noticed that much of a change. However, I have noticed a difference in the extent of my redness, I believe the BB cream has somewhat contributed to toning down the extent of the redness.

~ Pricing & Where to purchase ~

I purchased my Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream off eBay, so this is the seller I purchased from! I highly recommend this seller, very trust worthy!! - Purchased off eBay for $24.95.
